So, it's been a really, really long time since I posted last. I guess i've just been too busy doing school. so update time, I got a letter from UT dental around the end of September saying that I am a competitive candidate for the dental school and they would like for me to come take a tour of campus and have an interview! So that's really exciting! Then, bad me, I waited a week to see what my schedule would be like and I called UT to schedule my interview and the only day left open was Dec. 9th, the last day they are doing interviews! Needless to say, i was quite bummed and beat myself up over that one. Anyways, I think that it's all being taken care of. And Matt has gone to several interviews, both on campus and in Memphis, for an accounting job. He went to memphis yesterday and had a very successful day at Ernst and Young. He is going back to memphis on Monday for another interview and to learn more about the company. So that's also very exciting. Also, the weekend before last I bought the perfect wedding dress! It's gorgeous! and I look so good in it! so that is also exciting. This past week has been really crazy but yesterday and today were really easy. I love easy laid back days. Well, thats about it. I will try to update more often but we'll see how that goes.

Well, I'm back in the delph and all's quiet around here.

I had an interview this morning with the Health Sciences Committee (its for practice for my upcoming Dental School interviews and for recommendation letters). I was nervous, but I'm pretty sure I did well. Pray that I get good recommendations from these people!

I'm going to steal from Katie if she won't hate me forever...I have been a member of knot.com for quite some time and I saw her wedding website and thought that I would make one for Matt and I. Go visit it!

It certainly has been a long time since I posted, so I figured what the heck! I am still alive and kicking, just in case any of you guys were beginning to wonder.

Friday I finished my last day as a student worker at the University of Memphis! Yay! Working really is my best suit. I think my greatest talent is sleeping...

Matt and I have been working a lot on wedding planning and we are both super excited about getting married. He came to my house last weekend and by then both of us were really ready to see each other! I think my mom and I have told just about everybody and their grandmother about the proposal and of course everyone was quite impressed! I have to brag right now, but my fiance is one of the most romantic and thoughtful people that I have ever met or ever heard about! Getting right to the point-He's amazing! I know several people can vouch for that fact!

I took the DAT again today...I did do better, but not as good as I had hoped I would do. I am probably going to take it one more time, but I am still going to send in my dental school applications in really soon. I know I can do better and I want the dental schools to be able to see that.

I'm really ready to get back to Ouachita to see all of my peeps, but not ready for the stress that I'm going to endure this semester! For all who want to know, I'm coming back the 17th!

Well, I think that's about all thats happening right now in my life.
Maybe I'll post more often....

ok, so matt already spilled the beans on his xanga, but I'm going to tell you how it happened so all of you will know! oh, and i haven't called anyone yet because for some reason my phone is not working!

ok, on Friday i drove to matt's in heber after i got off of work. he had already told me that we were going to take a night plane ride over heber to see the lake and all the town from the air. We drove to the airport, which is rather small and met the pilot. then we went out to the plane. it was a small cessna, not really big or anything. i sat behind the pilot and matt sat next to me (of course)! We had a smooth take-off and had some wonderful views of the dusky sky over Greer's Ferry Lake. We took pictures that didn't really turn out, but it was soo neat! As the sky got darker, matt started looking around a lot more. I thought it was so cute because i thought he was really trying to take in the sights. I happened to look out my window which was to my left and on the ground in white lights was MARRY ME! I thought to myself "that says marry me, wait matt's unbuckling his seat belt and knealing on his knee!" my hands shot up to my mouth and i started saying oh, my gosh, oh my gosh! He said "Blair, I love you, and you're my best friend, and I know that you're the one I want to spend my life with. Will you marry me?" I was sobbing and crying and I waited about 2 seconds and said yes! I was so happy i was crying and I was sooo very surprised! I had guessed on wednesday night that he was going to propose to me but he convinced me thursday night that he wasn't and I was totally floored! the ring is gorgeous and he told me that he had the ring since Feb! the only thing that was kinda scary about this plane ride was the landing, which was a little rough! But the proposal was amazing! Then we drove to the local coffee shop and met up with matt's parents, best friend shannon, matt's uncle and aunt and family friend, whose farm was were the lights were set up! I was still in a state of surprise, so i couldn't really so anything! I called my parents on matt's phone and told them the news!
They were soo happy for me too! And matt told me that he talked to my parents two weeks ago when he was at my house and they gave him their approval!

so, that's it! i've been having a great weekend here spending time with my FIANCE! if you guys have any questions about the engagement or anything else, just leave a comment and I will try to get back to you!

oh and I love matt soooo much (forever + a day)

i think something big is going to happen to me in the very near future.  but, i'm not sure!

I'm going to heber springs this weekend to see matt and hang out with his fam and go swimming at the lake!  i am sooo excited!  i can hardly wait!  although its only been a week and a few days since I've seen him last, i miss him terribly!  and i can't wait to get back to school so i can see him every day!

ok, thats about it.  i will let all of you know what happens this weekend for sure!

oh and I really am reading a jimmy buffett book, wierd i know.

oh and i nearly died on a bike ride with my dad on sat.  i saw my life flash before my eyes as i was speeding out of control towards a thicket of trees.  God was with me because i managed to miss all of the trees and didn't flip over the handle bars, ramming into a tree. i came away without any broken bones, which is pretty good considering i ended up being stopped by a tree and a barbed wire fence.  i have some pretty lovely bruises on both my legs from my ankles to my thighs!  and it wasn't some kind of sissy, leisurely bike ride either, this was a trail about 4 inches wide in the middle of the forest with tree roots and hills like none other.  needless to say i was more scared that day than i have ever been and i will not be riding that trail for a very long time.  i told my dad that i'm going to stick to the paved trails for a while, since i'm able to handle those.

oh and the big thing that's going to happen is going to be an awesome night plane ride over heber, not the other big thing...
